Expert guidance on the Candidate Fitness Assessment, admissions timelines, nominations, and everything families need to know to give their student a competitive edge.
For more than 20 years, Candidate Fitness Assessment has helped students prepare for Service Academy, ROTC, and military fitness testing. Our proven training system focuses on proper technique, conditioning, strength, and test-specific preparation.
We are proud to say that every candidate who has completed our program has exceeded the minimum fitness requirements. Our goal is not simply to help candidates pass the Candidate Fitness Assessment — we help them maximize their performance and become more competitive applicants.
Schedule Your Assessment TodayThe Candidate Fitness Assessment isn't a general fitness test. It requires specific event training — pull-ups, shuttle runs, and a timed mile — that most high school athletes have never practiced in this format. Failing or scoring poorly can hurt an otherwise strong application.
For West Point, the Naval Academy, the Air Force Academy, and the Merchant Marine Academy, a congressional or presidential nomination is a prerequisite for appointment. Most families don't know this until it's too late. Nomination applications typically open in the spring of junior year and close in the fall.
Competitive service academy applicants begin building their profile in 9th or 10th grade — not senior year. Academic rigor, leadership roles, athletic achievement, and community service all factor into the whole-person evaluation. Waiting until junior year to start is one of the most common and costly mistakes.
Structured 8–24 week training programs designed specifically for the six CFA events. Includes weekly workout schedules, scoring benchmarks, and progress tracking — built for high school athletes who need to peak at the right time.

We had no idea where to start. The CFA alone felt overwhelming, and the nomination process was completely foreign to us. This program gave us a clear roadmap — and our son received his appointment to West Point.

My daughter was athletic but had never trained specifically for the CFA events. The structured prep plan made all the difference. She scored in the competitive range and is now a plebe at the Naval Academy.
